The choice of the theme "City Diplomacy: A Driving Force for Innovation and Sustainable Development" stems from the orientation to implement directives from the Central Government and Ho Chi Minh City regarding the promotion of economic diplomacy and the elevation of multilateral external relations to serve socio-economic development. By leveraging a network of 88 sister cities/localities and 19 international partners, the event aims to mobilize knowledge, resources, management models, and advanced technologies from around the world. Through this, Ho Chi Minh City seeks breakthrough solutions for infrastructure, transportation, and environmental challenges, while making strides in marine economic development, next-generation logistics, and the establishment of an International Financial Center, realizing the goal of becoming a smart, modern metropolis ranked among the top 100 most livable cities in the world.
