Ho Chi Minh City Plans Study of Ring Road 5 to Expand Development Space

At a meeting held by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee on September 4 to review the city’s socio-economic performance in August and the first eight months of 2026, as well as key tasks and solutions for September, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Duoc shared details about plans to study investment in the Ring Road 5 project. 

According to him, following the completion of Ring Road 2 and Ring Road 3 and with Ring Road 4 currently under construction, Ho Chi Minh City is going continue to study Ring Road 5 to create a more interconnected transportation network.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Duoc said: “We have invested in Ring Roads 2, 3 and 4. Now, we need to study Ring Road 5 — where it will lead to, what its alignment will be, and how it will connect with other routes.
