A notable milestone in bilateral cooperation is the Business Forum “Sverdlovsk Region (Russia) – Viet Nam: Current Trends in Industrial Cooperation,” which was organized to strengthen business-to-business connectivity, promote industrial collaboration, and unlock trade and investment opportunities between Vietnamese enterprises and partners from Sverdlovsk Region. The forum highlighted the significant potential for practical cooperation in modern manufacturing, energy, mechanical engineering, industrial equipment, and production technologies.
For Ho Chi Minh City, this platform provides an important reference for expanding partnerships with Sverdlovsk's industrial enterprises, particularly as the City seeks new sources of investment, technology, and expertise to advance supporting industries, industrial automation, logistics, advanced materials, and high-value manufacturing supply chains.
Looking ahead, particularly within the framework of the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue (FD 2026), Ho Chi Minh City aims to further expand cooperation with Sverdlovsk Region and encourage investment, technology transfer, technical expertise, and industrial management experience in the following five priority areas:

Technical Training and Bilateral Trade Promotion: Develop joint programmes for technical workforce training, equipment operation and maintenance, business matchmaking, trade promotion activities, business forums, and the promotion of industrial products in both markets.
