Over the years, cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Zhejiang Province has delivered encouraging outcomes in trade, logistics, technology, and investment. Regular trade promotion activities, international trade fairs, and business forums have created favourable conditions for enterprises from both sides to strengthen commercial partnerships.
Zhejiang is home to one of the world's largest e-commerce ecosystems. In particular, Yiwu is widely recognized as the world's largest wholesale market for small commodities and plays a pivotal role in global supply chains.
Meanwhile, Hangzhou has emerged as one of China's foremost centres for digital innovation, supported by a robust ecosystem for financial technology (FinTech) and artificial intelligence (AI). A growing number of Zhejiang-based enterprises have also expanded their investments in Viet Nam across industrial manufacturing, e-commerce, renewable energy, and high technology.
Looking toward the future, particularly as Ho Chi Minh City advances the development of an International Financial Centre, an innovation-driven city, and a digital economy, the City looks forward to expanding cooperation and attracting investment from Zhejiang Province in the following priority sectors:
