Dr. Armando Rodríguez Batista currently serves as the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment of the Republic of Cuba. Graduating with a degree in Radiochemistry from the Institute of Nuclear Sciences and Technology of Cuba, he went on to earn his Doctorate in Technical Sciences from the Technological University of Havana (CUJAE). Blending a scientific approach with public governance, he possesses extensive expertise in policy formulation, science and technology application, innovation ecosystem development, and sustainable environmental protection. In his capacity as Minister, he plays a pivotal role in driving Cuba’s transition toward a knowledge-based economic model, advancing green energy, preserving biodiversity, and strengthening international scientific and technological cooperation.
